We have the Krauts on the run. The German counterattack has lost momentum, and the elite SS-troops are in retreat. My company is to advance with the rest of the batalion to use the momentum gained. The SS troops are disciplined soldiers, and have prepared several small defensive positions where they hope to delay our forces and allow the bulk of the division to retreat. The Major has given Charlie Company the task of assaulting one such position. We attack at 0600......

The allied advance has stalled, for the moment. Even with the determined defense of the Germans it is only lack of supplies that has halted the Allied armies temporarily. They have everything and their Jabos rule the skies. I have been sent with seven Tigers in order to break the US lines. Seven Tigers and a handful of men. No artillery or air support, we must advance with caution, through the thickest terrain......

OPERATION LIGHTFOOT- FLAMES OF WAR - Italian Fuiciliery Company vs. British Rifle Company
The 51st Highland Division marched through the night with field engineers working hard to clear lanes through the Devil’s Garden – minefields that separated the battle lines between the 8th Army and Panzerarmee Afrika. Montgomery’s final orders for the first stage of the offensive, code name “Lightfoot” called for the Infantry Divisions to penetrate the enemy line and open corridors for the Armoured Divisions to break through. The battle opened at 21:40 hrs on the 23 October with a tremendous artillery barrage........

The British are in full pursuit but it is not the route they have hoped for, it is a full retreat but the Germans are still a coherent fighting force and leave ambushes for the pursuing British. Jökull played a British Armored Squadron while Siggi has his Grenadiersadiers. We had a first time player with us, Theódór.......

For this one we decided to have two players play with loaned armies to find out how well they would adapt to playing forces that they are unfamiliar with.
